Savanna Adire

Authentic Adire textile is created through a process of indigo resist-dyeing that involves creating a pattern on fabric and preventing it from absorbing the dye.

Three types of techniques are commonly used to achieve this effect: Oniko (raffia resist), Alabere (needle resist) and Eleko, (cassava paste resist. Modern day Adirę also includes tie-dye, wax resist batik techniques and alternative dyes other than indigo.

Fabric size is 4 yards 30in.
