Brand + Sustainability
Because our craft isn’t just about the fabric. It’s about the people. We believe in providing meaningful work for Ghanaian women artisans who bring skill, experience and care to each hand-dye process.
Small-batch production means each piece gets attention, supports the artisan team, and keeps our textiles unique, not mass-produced.
We’re not perfect, but we commit to producing in a way that respects people, place and craft.
- Reimagining Waste into Art
We transform deadstock, fabric remnants from the second-hand textile industry, and misprinted textiles from local mills into distinctive, one-of-a-kind prints. - Unisex, Zero-Waste, & Circular Fashion
Our timeless, unisex clothing is designed for longevity and versatility.
We follow zero-waste principles, repurposing every offcut into new designs, accessories, or patchwork textiles. - Ethical Sourcing & Artisan Support
We partner with West African artisans, sourcing handmade, dyed, and woven textiles through fair trade practices.
Our process preserves and promotes heritage textile techniques like batik, tie-dye, mud cloth, and handweaving. - Natural Fiber Commitment
We prioritize biodegradable, breathable, and durable natural fabrics like cotton, linen, silk, and rayon. - Conscious Dyeing & Minimal Waste
We reuse wax for batik and carefully manage water use in our dyeing process.
We reduce waste by recycling or composting leftover materials.
We plan our designs intentionally to minimize excess dye and water consumption.
We looked into it carefully. While natural dyes are beautiful and traditional, they don’t yet meet the stability and consistency our clients expect, especially for commercial use.
They fade too quickly under repeated laundering, sunlight and wear. Until the systems are right, we use high-quality reactive or pigment dyes that hold colour while honouring our craft.
Because we’re small-batch, artisan-led, hand-dyed, and rooted in Ghanaian craft. Each piece takes many hands, many steps, and genuine care.
Cost covers fair artisan wages, careful dyeing, material quality, and shipping/logistics from Ghana. When you buy Tampoori, you’re you’re investing in craft, culture and community.
