Tampoori tie-dye is rooted in West African dyeing traditions and enriched by techniques borrowed from across the world such as Japanese shibori, Indian bandhani, and other resist-dye methods that have shaped the craft for centuries. Each piece is created with deep intention, intricate tying, and thoughtful detailing that honours heritage while embracing contemporary expression.
Every piece is carefully crafted by hand: tied, bound, and dyed through a process that cannot be rushed. We take our time through every stage to achieve rich colours, refined patterns, and exceptional quality. The pattern only reveals itself when the ties come off. After years in the studio, our artisans can still be surprised by what a piece becomes.

Hand-dyed in small batches in Accra by our team of six local women artisans. We work primarily on natural fibers, reclaiming and reusing wax and dye baths where we can. Textile mill offcuts and obroni wawu, secondhand imported fabric, are given a second life with Tampoori color. We're not perfect. But we're honest, and we're trying.

Processing: Orders processed Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm GMT.
Pickup: Collect from our Spintex or Labone studios at no extra cost.
Ghana: Delivered via courier within 2 to 3 business days.
Nigeria and West Africa: We deliver via interstate bus, you collect from the bus station in your city. We will send you the bus details and waybill number once your order is on its way.
International: Shipped via Tridol Express or Aramex depending on your destination.
